OTT service Megogo goes on Beeline TV

The Russian mobile platform Beeline TV has added the OTT service Megogo to its offer.

According to Comnews, this is the first stage of strategic cooperation announced earlier by the two companies and will see Beeline TV customers offered Megogo for free for two weeks, after which they will be charged at a daily rate of R11 (€0.16).

The fee, which includes VAT, will be paid through users’ mobile accounts.

Although financial details of the agreement between Megogo and Beeline TV’s owner VimpelCom have not been disclosed, it is believed that it is based on a revenue share model.

Megogo already has over two-dozen other partnerships in place with TV operators, telcos and ISPs.

Furthermore, it has been working on the integration of its service with MTS’s Interactive TV since last year.

MTS is also working with Amediateka and seeking more partnerships.
