Under a public-private partnership, Pakistan Post is ready to start its new mobile money transfer service soon in Pakistan. According to officials, Pakistan Post is currently offering offline money transfer service to its customers which the company intends to transform into digital money transfer service meeting all the international standards.
Pakistan Post’s digital system will include the services; Pension, Micro-finance, ATM, E-commerce, Poverty alleviation schemes, Wallet cards, Insurance, International remittances and mobile applications.
Pakistan Post is also working on starting a new Logistics project soon, Pakistan Post has set up a new business extension POSTLOG in this regard, and the company endeavors to provide international standard technology-oriented logistics services to its customers in Pakistan.
Besides, the company has started a collaboration with Korea Post to automate the post offices, the project NIPA will have three phases to be completed. Pakistan Post has come up with a strategy to compete private couriers effectively, the company has already taken important steps in this development.
Almost 31 Smart Express Centers have been set up in urban cities, whereas, Express Mail Track & Trace System (EMTTS) has been installed at 83 General Post Offices GPO’s and 50 district mail offices.
Pakistan Post has also set up a call center for customer support, Urgent Mail and cash-on-delivery service also introduced which is in service since 2016. Pakistan Post has distributed 1961 motorcycles to its employees in order to make the service fast and reliable.
