KPN customers will now receive HD images via the Interactive TV app, with a resolution of 720p, according to the One More Thing website. All channels that offer KPN in Full HD are now available for HD viewing through the app. Programmes recorded by customers may have a lower image quality.
The HD streams can only be viewed via Wi-Fi. When the app is used via a mobile data connection, the image quality automatically switches back to a lower resolution and bit rate. The app's settings will also allow customers to permanently switch back to lower video quality. Customers of KPN unit Telfort can also watch HD-quality channels through the Interactive TV app from Telfort. The KPN and Telfort apps allow up to three viewers indoors and one viewer outdoors.
