Emirates Safer Internet Society (E-Safe), an NGO based in the UAE capital, has rolled out a programme called e³ (pronounced “E-cube”) at summer camps across the country in order to raise awareness about online security and responsible use of technology among children.
e3 features immersive, fun-packed and edutainment activities that are aimed at helping children and teens explore the power of digital technology.
The e³ sessions held at the camps draw from online resources and entail live demos, short films, activity kits, props and an optional, hands-on digital lab.
Smart learning
“e³ is our unique training philosophy which takes a holistic approach to e-safety literacy. This innovative approach can impact sustainable and far-reaching e-culture change through smart learning,” said Mohammad Mustafa, COO of E-Safe. “It adopts a three-pronged target – the child, family and school. We involve all the three entities to achieve preventive and corrective skills development. Schools are therefore strategic touch points for E-Safe where students, teachers and parents come together.”
Live hacking
Tena Conil, brand and content director of E-Safe, said: “Our interactive, multi-media learning content features a robust line-up of various live hacking demos, dramatised case studies and hands-on activities to achieve the challenging objective of behavioural change towards online resources.”
