The Russian DTH platform operator Orion has added 30 TV channels to its OTT service Telecard Online since the start of this year.
In a summary of its activities in the online environment, the company adds that the service will consist of over 70 TV channels by the end of this month.
It also says that the number of downloads of the Telecard Online app has increased by 37% since the start of the year. There were 10,000 downloads in the first five months of 2017, with the total to date exceeding 39,000.
Furthermore, the number of smart TVs supporting the Telecard Online app was expanded in May to also include Sony and Philips models with Android TV.
Orion introduced a new eight-channel thematic block named World Cinema to its OTT offer this month.
In addition, its ‘Cinema’ service, consisting of over 5,000 titles, had been visited over 30,000 times, with over 10,000 units of film viewed, as of June 1.
