Ooredoo Appoints New Chief Business & Wholesale Officer

Ooredoo announced the appointment of Sultan Al Wahaibi as its new Chief Business & Wholesale Officer, following his promotion from the post as Director of-Business Sales. In his new role, Sultan will be responsible for continuing the rapid growth of the company’s business and wholesale segments.

Sultan’s extensive background includes more than 16 years of experience leading teams as a Project Manager, Head of Wireless Communication, and Director of the Network Modernisation Programme in Oman. As a member of the Ooredoo family since 2010, Sultan grew within the company and was nurtured by its multiple leadership programmes that helped him rise to many roles including Director of Implementation & Infrastructure and Director of Capability Management for the past 5 years.

In addition to his long track record of corporate excellence, Sultan holds a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with a Minor in Business from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. He is also a graduate of the London Business School’s reputed Executive Education Programme and the Institute for Management Development’s (IMD, Switzerland) as part of the Ooredoo Business Leader Programme.
