VIVA Bahrain has announced free public Wi-Fi access during the Grand Prix race.
It has deployed the ‘Quad Sector Super Wi-Fi over Air Fiber’ technology that will serve thousands of Formula One fans expected to attend the event, at the Bahrain International Circuit, in Sakhir.
“We at VIVA have a proud history of offering the best network performance even in the face of high traffic demand,” said VIVA Bahrain chief executive Ulaiyan Al Wetaid.
“It gives us great pleasure to leverage our technologies to support one of the nation’s biggest events and allow the public to stay connected at all times to enjoy the event,” he said in a statement.
The telecom operator’s first successful deployment of the triple-beam antenna was done during the 2016 Grand Prix race, and further enhanced this year on additional towers.
