Ooredoo launches the new value added ‘Easy Credit’ service

Ooredoo has launched its new Easy Credit Service. Ooredoo prepaid subscribers can now request advance credit for calls, SMS, or data, directly from their mobile devices wherever they are at any time of day.

Commenting on the new premium service, Ooredoo Head of Digital Payments and New Business, Faisal Al Bakri, said: “It isn’t always possible to know when you will need to phone home, send an important message, or check a vital piece of information. If you’re not able to top up, whether in an emergency or if you are simply trying to stay connected to friends and family, it can be both inconvenient and critical. Easy Credit gives anytime, anywhere credit, helping customers stay connected, even if they need to top-up.”

“Our Mousbak prepaid plans are also very popular with the youth, who are always on the lookout for easy, convenient ways to recharge with flexible amounts when they run out of credit. This innovate service will help them to stay in touch worry-free. This is one of the many ways we are listening to what our customers want and cater to their ever evolving lifestyles.”

A standard feature available to all Ooredoo prepaid subscribers, an Easy Credit advance of 200 Bz, 500 Bz, OMR 1, 2, 5 or 10 Rials can be requested at any time it is needed, and on multiple occasions, simply by using the short code *222# and selecting ‘Easy Credit’. The advance amount, along with a convenience fee of just 20 Bz for 200 Bz credit, 50 Bz for 500 Bz credit, 100 Bz for a credit of OMR 1, 200 Bz for an advance of OMR 2, 500 Bz for a request for OMR 5, and OMR1 those who select the OMR 10 option. The fee will be automatically deducted when the account is recharged. Subscribers will have a fixed Easy Credit limit, calculated according to their use and frequency of recharges.

Ooredoo customers can top-up their accounts through a variety of channels, including online via the Ooredoo eRecharge platform at www.ooredoo.om/Personal/Talk/Howtopay.aspx, by clicking the MyOoredoo tab on Facebook, at Ooredoo self-service machines located across the Sultanate, at the ATMs of selected banks, scratch cards, and in person at any of Ooredoo’s 41 stores nationwide.
