At the end of 2016, Mobilis, branch of Algérie Telecom, installed a new convergence solution for its system. The firm clearly put has regrouped its networks and services to improve its users’ experience. In a statement, Mobilis said the move would help meet more appropriately users’ needs and provide them new products in 2017.
According to dia-algerie.com, the system installed is the Huawei’s New Generation Business Support System (NGBSS). The new convergence solution replaces the old one which was developed by IT firm Ericsson.
Through the convergence of its system, Mobilis wants to boost traffic on its network, in addition to securing new users, all which will lead to higher financial revenues.
In Q3 2016, the telecom firm had 17.5 million users for a turnover of 90.6 billion dinar (MDA), up 22% compared to 74.3 billion dinars in the same quarter, a year before.
