The Alfa family celebrated the achievements of 2015 and launched its 22nd anniversary during an exceptional evening titled One Team, One Dream, One Vision. The event was attended by the Minister of Telecommunications Boutros Harb, Alfa CEO and Chairman Mr. Marwan Hayek and his spouse, the Alfa management team and staff, and officials from the Ministry of Telecommunications.
During the celebratory evening, Alfa announced 2016 to be the year of 4.5G. It also highlighted the company’s most notable achievements in 2015 that were documented by global reports. Indeed, according to the latest study by Ericsson, Alfa has proven its technical leadership by providing an unparalleled service that exceeds the quality of service in the global telecom operators. Alfa ranked in the 16th position in terms of 2G network quality out of 119 worldwide operators in which Ericsson is involved. It also ranked seventh out of 79 operators around the world in terms of 3G+ network quality.
In 2016, Alfa plans to equip and install 1300 4G+ stations covering the entire Lebanese territory as part of the 2020 plan launched by Minister Harb.
The evening included a special entertainment program that continued until well into the night, celebrating an exceptional beginning of a new year at Alfa, with the company’s staff promising to offer its subscribers more technological innovation and leadership.
