US VoIP service provider Ooma has announced that its Talkatone mobile app is launching free photo messaging in the US. Until now Talkatone offered free calling and texting over Wi-Fi and mobile data connections. Talkatone can be used to communicate for free, even with correspondents who do not use the app. It can be used on phones and tablets running Android and iOS, as well as the Kindle e-readers.
Ooma CEO Eric Stang of the picture messaging launch, “As we continually look for ways to help our customers save, we’re pleased to offer photo messaging to Talkatone users so they can connect with friends and family in and outside of the network for free.”
