Umniah announced that Ziad Shatara has recently started his tenure as the company's new CEO.
Mr. Shatara comes to Umniah with a remarkable professional track record and extensive international experience of more than 20 years in telecommunication field.
Prior to joining Umniah, Mr. Shatara was the Chief Executive Officer of Banglalink. Before that, he has held key management positions for different technology streams including IT and networking at Wind Telecommunications.
With solid proficiency in building, running and expanding operations in telecommunications, including cellular business, fixed lines and broadband networks integration, Mr. Shatara also has additional professional expertise in the fields of IT, Customer Service and Retail Operations.
In this regard, Mr. Shatara said: "It is a great honor to join Umniah and I look forward to working with its talented team to realize further successes and growth."

Shatara confirmed the importance of working within the global telecom standards that focus today on the broadband Internet solutions, especially 4G; which Umniah lately obtained its license. He highlighted that he will work hardly with the team to launch this service beginning of next year and will focus on offering innovative solutions related to Internet of Things, Smart Cities and Homes and other broadband applications.
