Repeating a strategy recently announced by Vodafone, Samsung is to offer up to six months free subscription to Netflix in Spain.
The South Korean manufacturer made the announcement a few hours after the subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) platform launched in Spain.
Samsung will offer the free access to Spanish users of the Galaxy Tab S2 tablet, Galaxy S6 Edge or Edge + smartphone or Samsung smart TV.
"Netflix has changed the way people consume TV around the globe. Through this promotion, we want to give our clients the possibility to watch their favourite Netflix shows on their Samsung devices," explained Miguel Ángel Ruiz, content & service manager, Samsung Spain. "In addition, the service will be available in the highest quality."
Buyers of tablets and smartphones will get three months of Netflix standard HD subscription. The 4K package is for those acquiring a smart TV, for three months if it's an Ultra HD screen and six months if it's an SUHD.
