Germany’s national telco Deutsche Telekom will offer its customers movies in Ultra HD soon.
Video-on-demand (VOD) service Videoload will introduce an Ultra HD section at the end of September 2015, a Telekom spokesman confirmed to Broadband TV News.
“The offering will initially be provided as part of the Videoload app of certain smart TV manufacturers,” the spokesman explained. More than 100 films will be available at launch.
In the medium term, Telekom also wants to offer Ultra HD movies on its IPTV platform Entertain, the spokesman confirmed.
