Côte d'Ivoire's RTI joins Arabsat

Radiodiffusion-Télévision Ivoirienne (RTI) is now available across Africa and the Middle East following an agreement with regional satellite operator Arabsat.

Programmes from the publically-owned Côte d'Ivoire TV network can be viewed free-to-air across the region using the smallest dish size via Arabsat's BADR-4 satellite located in orbit at 26° East.

"Africa is a large continent and Côte d'Ivoire is one of the most fast growing states in Africa. We are thrilled to bring RTI to our viewers to enjoy a very original and native attractive African content. Arabsat viewers across the Middle East and North Africa will receive RTI combined with an extensive offering and wide varieties of the prime free-to-air international and regional news channel on Arabsat hotspot at 26° East," said Nabil Shanit, vice president and CCO of Arabsat.

RTI currently operates four national TV channels and two radio networks in Côte d'Ivoire.
