Eutelsat (ISIN: FR0010221234 – Euronext Paris / London Stock Exchange: ETL) announces that France Télévisions, the official media partner of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games, will be broadcasting the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games live in Ultra High Definition across France on France 2 UHD, via FRANSAT, Eutelsat’s free-to-view satellite platform for French DTT channels. The Games, one of the Winter’s major sporting events, takes place from 6thto 22nd February.
Immersing viewers at the very heart of the action, audiences across France will be able to enjoy the greatest Olympic achievements on France 2 UHD, with a diverse range of programs throughout the day, via the FRANSAT platform (channel 2 or 52) broadcasting on the EUTELSAT 5 West B satellite.

The competition will be broadcast in native UHD with dynamic HDR, delivering major improvements compared to HD:
Picture resolution is four times higher than Full HD, the current DTT standard.
Frame rate is twice as high, providing a richer, smoother and more dynamic viewing experience (25 fps to 50 fps), particularly well-suited to fast-paced sporting events.
Dolby Atmos immersive 3D sound, allowing viewers to be fully immersed in the atmosphere of the event.

To enjoy the Milan–Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games free-to-air on France 2 UHD via FRANSAT, viewers must be equipped with FRANSAT UHD satellite reception equipment, such as a 4K receiver, a CI+ 1.3 TV module or a CI+ 2.0 TV key, together with a UHD television compliant with the UHD-HDR10 standard.
