The “Best Technology Deployment” award highlights stc group’s pioneering commercialization of 5G on the 600 MHz (n71) spectrum. As one of the first operators globally to activate this band, stc group leveraged the most advanced Remote Radio Unit (RRU) technology to deliver superior wide-area coverage and deep indoor penetration. This deployment maximizes the efficiency of the low-band frequency, ensuring robust reliability and connectivity for a diverse ecosystem of consumers and enterprises.
Simultaneously, the “Most Innovative Product” award recognizes the “Riyadh Antenna,” a breakthrough in 5G efficiency and sustainability. The antenna’s unique cylindrical form factor reduces wind load (EPA) by 60% and cuts the number of passive antennas required per site by over 50%, significantly simplifying deployment. Featuring integrated 4T4R Sub-3G technology and a built-in Antenna Information Sensor Unit (AISU), the product enables advanced optimization and unmanned maintenance, shifting the focus from simple infrastructure deployment to automated network management.
The Telecom Review Excellence Awards evaluate performance within the ICT sector, selecting winners based on innovation, network capability, and operational results.
