German TV platform HD+ is now offering all users of its TV app access to movies, series and additional content from video-on-demand provider maxdome – regardless of whether the app is used via satellite or IP.
The top 20 titles from maxdome are prominently displayed on the home screen of the HD+ TV app. Additionally, availability via maxdome is shown on individual content detail pages and during searches via text input or filter selection. The actual content is then streamed through the maxdome app.
A maxdome customer account is required to rent or purchase content. Users only pay for the individual film or series they request, no subscription is required.
“Following the integration of RTL+ content, our partnership with maxdome marks the next step in making the HD+ TV app a central hub for an outstanding TV experience,” said Andreas Müller-Vondey, Managing Director of HD Plus. “With the HD+ TV app, we offer all TV households greater flexibility and easy access to their favourite content – whether it’s live TV, media libraries or streaming content. The collaboration with maxdome represents an important milestone in this development.”
“Our partnership with HD+ allows us to make our content accessible to an even wider audience,” added Hans D. Henseleit, Managing Director of Videociety, the company behind maxdome. “Our offering is particularly attractive thanks to our selection of the latest films, available shortly after their cinema release – including titles like Mikey 17 or Captain America: Brave New World – all without any subscription commitment.”
