Ethio Telecom has announced the expansion of its high-speed 4G LTE Advanced mobile network to 114 additional cities across the Bale Zone, Arsi Zone, East Bale Zone, West Arsi Zone, and East Shewa Zone.
The announcement was made during the launch event of the company’s 5G network in Bale Robe and Arsi cities. Ethio Telecom revealed that it had completed a major 4G LTE Advanced network expansion project, increasing the total number of cities with access to the service to 114, 58 in the Southeast Region and 56 in the South Southeast Region.
According to the company, the expanded 4G LTE Advanced coverage is expected to play a key role in advancing Ethiopia’s digital transformation by providing faster internet connectivity and creating new opportunities for innovation, business, and social development.
