ISP begins fiber network construction in 2 Colorado communities

Two Colorado communities, Broomfield and Fort Lupton, are the site of new fiber-optic network construction efforts by Hyperfiber, a Missouri-based internet service provider (ISP).

The ISP, which announced the new network construction last week, has invested over $160 million into Colorado expansions to date, the ISP’s announcement stated.

Additionally, the ISP hopes to achieve over 200,000 fiber passings in Colorado alone, according to Hyperfiber’s announcement.

Initially, Hyperfiber first launched Colorado services late last year, in the community of Firestone, Hyperfiber’s release explained.

Bloomfield Mayor Guyleen Castriotta said her community is thrilled to welcome Hyperfiber as a new neighbor.

“Access to fast, reliable internet is essential for economic growth, education and quality of life,” Castriotta said. “This partnership supports our continued efforts to ensure our community stays connected and competitive,” Castroitta was quoting as having said in Hyperfiber’s release.”

Castriotta’s comments continued.

Meanwhile, Justin Nelson, Hyperfiber’s COO, also commented, saying residents of both communities now have the ability to enjoy what he calls a “better internet experience.”

“Fiber remains the gold standard in internet technology, and we’re excited to expand its advantages to additional cities in Colorado,” Nelson said.
