Ethio Telecom is continuing its nationwide 5G expansion with the launch of 5G services in Jimma City. This milestone marks yet another significant step in the company’s mission to accelerate Ethiopia’s digital transformation, ensuring seamless high-speed connectivity and unlocking new opportunities for innovation and economic growth across the country.
Since the launch of Ethiopia’s first 5G network in Addis Ababa in 2022, Ethio Telecom has steadily expanded its next-generation wireless technology to key cities nationwide. So far, we have successfully rolled out 5G services in 12 cities, including Addis Ababa, Adama, Jigjiga, Dire Dawa, Harar, Bahir Dar, Hawassa, Wolaita Sodo, Hosaena, Arba Minch, Bishoftu and today Jimma.
Following the successful completion of network installations, 5G services are now available in various parts of Jimma City. This expansion brings ultra-fast mobile connectivity to thousands of users, enabling faster data speeds, seamless communication, and digital transformation across industries.
