Ciena says that Indian ISP Tejays Dynamics is using its coherent routing solutions to build an adaptive IP network that will serve the connectivity needs of its enterprise and campus customers.
According to a statement from Ciena, Tejays will use the solutions to converge 4G/5G fronthaul, mid-haul, and backhaul networks onto a common, multi-purpose infrastructure, which Ciena said will also enable a new generation of wholesale connectivity.
Ciena’s service team will lead the project, providing project management, solution design, implementation, and testing to prepare Tejay’s network for service. The deployment includes Ciena’s 3926 platform and 3948, 5130, 5164, 5186, and 8114 routers.
Meanwhile, the 5164, 5186 and 8114 routers will be powered by Ciena’s WaveLogic 5 Nano (WL5n) coherent pluggable transceivers, which Ciena said will further improve network efficiency.
Tejays will also use Ciena’s Navigator Network Control Suite to provide real-time monitoring of its IP network, as well as automation and analytics to optimize multi-layer network performance through a single dashboard.
“The increased bandwidth demand from 5G, broadband, and cloud applications is an opportunity for operators like Tejays to re-architect its network to address the surge of new services, content, and applications being created and consumed at the network edge,” said Sujith Babu, Ciena’s director of Enterprise & Government Verticals, India. “With Ciena’s coherent routing solutions, Tejays will be taking advantage of next-generation technology like XGS-PON and 25GS-PON to enhance the customer experience.”
“By evolving our network with Ciena’s innovative coherent routing approach, we are capitalizing on new opportunities,” added Tejays founder Praveen Chaudhry.
