Orange offers services on Polish Open Fiber FTTH network

Polish Open Fiber Optic and Orange Polska have concluded an agreement, thanks to which Orange can offer its fiber optic services on the FTTH network belonging to PŚO. The first customers have already started using the super-fast Orange Fiber Optic on the partner's infrastructure. PŚO has provided Orange Polska with FTTH coverage for nearly 600,000 households.

At the moment, Orange can already offer its services in an area of approximately 40 thousand households and plans to use the coverage of over 120 thousand households. This is the beginning of the road of cooperation between operators. Considering the ambitious plans of PŚO regarding the reconstruction of DOCSIS to FTTH and the construction of new FTTH connections, the scope of cooperation may increase.

Polski Światłowód Otwarty covers over 4.1 million households in Poland with its network and is implementing a plan to expand the network by over 2 million households by 2028, ultimately covering over 6 million households in Poland. In parallel, the company is modernizing its DOCSIS network to the latest FTTH standard, on which, thanks to the use of XGS-PON technology, all retail operators can offer fixed internet services with speeds of up to 5 Gb/s.
