T-Mobile announced that it has made even more 5G upgrades to the Superdome and all of New Orleans city, amping peak download speeds inside the stadium up to 1.2 Gbps. The Un-carrier now covers 99% of New Orleans with Ultra Capacity 5G (5G UC).
As part of this, the operator has upgraded its indoor distributed antenna systems (iDAS), bringing blazing-fast Ultra Capacity 5G to every corner of the stadium, ensuring fans can share every touchdown and all the half-time show shenanigans in near real-time. This includes upgrades across all macro cell sites in areas surrounding the event, bringing more incredible speeds in areas just outside the stadium — like Champions Square — so T-Mobile customers won’t miss a moment heading from tailgates to the main event.
T-Mobile has more than prepped the Big Easy for the influx of visitors with permanent 5G upgrades at iconic sights citywide and everywhere in between. This includes 5G upgrades across the French Quarter, with peak download speeds of 975 Mbps and peak upload speeds of 68 Mbps.

T-Mobile has been hard at work creating the best possible network experiences in the places our customers live, work and play, not only in New Orleans but across the entire state of Louisiana. The permanent upgrades we made to the city — on top of everything else we’ve done since launching 5G — are more than ready to support businesses and customers during the game and far beyond.
