With ecommerce booming, almost every industry in Sri Lanka has gone digital, leveraging technology to create value for both companies and consumers.
“A lot of Sri Lankan retail companies are going into ecommerce. Digital penetration has reached a point where it has become the effective marketing tool virtually for any business. There are about 12 million Sri Lankans online as per the last count. Here, we’ve played a pivotal role in helping Sri Lankan brands generate over Rs.15 billion, purely through online transactions, taking a performance-driven approach.
“Digital marketing has a lot of different specialisations. It is all about using the correct tool for the correct opportunity. It allows you to gain visibility into actual performance. Due to that visibility, one has the ability to continuously optimise his/her campaign and as a result, the ROI tends to be better compared to traditional approaches. We see massive potential in the local travel and hospitality sector,” Antyra Solutions Chairman, Co-Founder and CEO Niranka T. Perera told Mirror Business on the sidelines of the company’s 10th anniversary celebration event held in Colombo last week.
Over the past decade, Antyra has not only grown its client portfolio but also contributed significantly to Sri Lanka’s digital workforce.
“With over 200 employees having been part of the Antyra family since its founding, the company has nurtured talent, fostered innovation and created opportunities for professionals to excel in their careers. We are planning to increase staff by about 30-40 percent this year, investing significantly in this area,” Perera added.
“The good thing concerning learning ‘digital’ is that it is accessible to anybody. There are online tools and the material available for learning. The entry barrier is very less compared to any other profession as anybody capable of absorbing the content could get into the field. Sri Lankan youth have the potential and lot more opportunity for development,” he noted.
Antyra, the integrated digital marketing agency, specialises in the fields of travel and hospitality, finance, insurance, e-commerce, fashion and education, servicing clients in 14 countries, including many of Sri Lanka’s leading corporates.
Celebrating a decade of growth, innovation and resilience, the Chairman said, “The journey from a local startup to a regional player is a story of resilience, creativity and a relentless focus on delivering value. I am proud of the company’s achievements over the past 10 years. We have worked with diverse clients on challenging projects, built award-winning websites and have been able to establish our brand as a leading integrated digital agency in the country.”
Commenting on the company’s future offerings, he said they are focusing on key areas such as AI-based software and white-label solutions and staff augmentation for foreign companies.
The company, which has its presence in Sri Lanka, Singapore and the USA, said it is planning to expand its global footprint, establishing a Sales Office in Australia in the next two years.
Antyra’s design work has been featured in multiple prominent international publications including Communications Arts Magazine, the world’s largest international trade journal for visual communication.
