AAIOT signs strategic agreements with Oracle and RIT at GITEX 2024

The Artificial Intelligence of Things Association (AAIOT) has announced the signing of two strategic cooperation agreements with Oracle and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) during its participation in GITEX 2024 in Dubai. These collaborations aim to accelerate the adoption of AI and IoT technologies across various sectors in Kuwait, in alignment with Kuwait’s Vision 2035 for digital transformation, which seeks to position the country as a regional technology hub.

Through this partnership, Oracle will bring its leading expertise in cloud technology, data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cybersecurity, strengthening Kuwait’s digital infrastructure. At the same time, AAIOT will coordinate efforts with local stakeholders, including government bodies, the private sector, and academic institutions, to ensure the adaptation of these technologies to the specific needs of the Kuwaiti market.

Omar Saleh, Vice President of Oracle for the Gulf region, said: “We are pleased to be part of this collaboration with AAIOT to drive digital transformation in Kuwait using AI and IoT technologies. Fostering innovation

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Oracle and AAIOT will organize a series of joint events and activities, including technical workshops, training programs, research projects, and seminars. These initiatives aim to develop the skills of the local workforce and stimulate innovation in multiple fields such as healthcare, education, and industry. These efforts will contribute to building a tech-savvy society capable of adopting advanced digital solutions for greater efficiency and addressing various challenges.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah, President of AAIOT, expressed his confidence that this partnership with Oracle will add significant value to Kuwait’s tech sector. He stated: “With Oracle’s global expertise and our deep understanding of the local market needs, we are optimistic that this collaboration will pave the way for a tangible and sustainable digital transformation in Kuwait.”

Developing national talent

Alongside the agreement with Oracle, AAIOT has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Rochester Institute of Technology, aiming to empower and train national talent in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and smart cities. This collaboration seeks to provide specialized educational programs designed to prepare young Kuwaitis to enter the workforce with advanced skills that align with the aspirations of Vision 2035.

Sheikh Mohammad Al-Sabah emphasized that this partnership with RIT strengthens Kuwait’s ability to build a specialized national workforce capable of leading future technological advancements. The President of RIT praised this fruitful cooperation, expressing his delight in working closely with AAIOT to achieve shared goals and preparing a generation of innovative specialists across various technological fields.
