60% of Copec stations are now equipped with satellite Internet

Copec has managed to connect more than 60% of its network of service stations in Chile by implementing fiber optics and Starlink satellite technology.

This project represents an opportunity to enhance the customer experience and offer a stable and secure connection in rural and remote areas of the country. The deployment began with stations located in areas with the greatest connectivity challenges and expanded to more traditional locations.

This initiative has a profound impact on nearby communities, as improved connectivity extends Internet access to the surrounding area. This allows for faster transactions and greater digital stability.

Additionally, it contributes to the quality of life of local residents by providing crucial technological infrastructure for their development.

Starlink is a satellite technology developed by SpaceX that uses a constellation of low-orbit satellites to offer high-speed, low-latency Internet access in remote and rural areas. Through this technology, Copec remains committed to the continuous improvement of its services and the strengthening of its network of over 670 locations.
