TNM boosts 4G network for Umthetho festival

TNM Plc, the mobile telecoms partner for this year's Umthetho festival, has enhanced its 4G network coverage at Hora mountain and surrounding areas to ensure seamless connectivity during the Ngoni cultural event, writes AfricaBrief Reporter.

"We have enhanced our capacity at Hora and surrounding areas to ensure all guests enjoy uninterrupted connections," said Sobhuza Ngwenya, TNM's marketing director.

"We know that many people will be streaming the events from Hora, and TNM's 4G network is the best option."

The company deployed a mobile base transceiver station (BTS) to boost existing 4G capacity in the area. Attendees can expect improved connectivity, new connections, and Mpamba mobile money services.

TNM contributed K5 million towards organizing the event. Emma Kaliya, chairperson of the organizing committee, said the contribution provided a timely boost to preparations.

The Umthetho festival has attracted Ngonis from four Southern African countries, highlighting its regional significance.
