Ooredoo Oman and Ericsson have partnered to provide Ooredoo’s customers with state-of-the-art Ericsson Charging and Ericsson Mediation systems, providing an upgraded digital customer experience. Under the five-year agreement, all exiting charging and rating platforms are being consolidated and replaced with online rating and charging using Ericsson systems. The collaboration significantly simplifies Ooredoo's charging infrastructure.
Dr Ahmed Al Abri, Chief Technology and Information Officer at Ooredoo, said, "We aim to play a significant role in driving Oman's digital transformation and provide products and services on par with customers' quickly changing requirements, including seamless nationwide connectivity. Through our partnership with Ericsson, we leverage their cutting-edge solutions to provide our customers with an upgraded digital experience and innovative personalised product offerings."

Our ongoing collaboration with Ooredoo seeks to build on our legacy to shape the communications of tomorrow by creating resilient, future-ready networks along with the systems to monetise superior service experiences.”
Ooredoo simplified its charging stack by leveraging Ericsson's flexible Business and Operations Support Systems portfolio, which uses industry standards and protocols, to seamlessly integrate Ericsson Charging and Mediation within its multi-vendor Information Technology (IT) and network ecosystem. The Ericsson Charging system is now the single convergent charging solution for all of Ooredoo’s prepaid and postpaid consumer subscribers, with plans to consolidate the rating of all lines of business utilising the digital capabilities of Ericsson Charging and Ericsson Mediation.
