Slovakia passes two million LTE users

A report from Slovakia’s Office for Electronic Communications & Postal Services (Regulacny Urad, RU) shows that the country was home to 2.09 million LTE users at the end of June this year.

In the first half of 2017 9,400TB of data was transferred via 4G networks, with 6,600TB of this through private subscribers and the remainder via business accounts. Slovakia is home to four cellular operators – O2, Orange, Slovak Telekom and SWAN – all of which have launched commercial LTE networks. There were around 7.4 million wireless subscribers in total as of mid-2017, including 2G, 3G and 4G users.
