Latvian telecoms watchdog the Public Utilities Commission (Sabiedrisko Pakalpojumu Regulesanas Komisija, SPRK), has chosen to extend the duration of spectrum rights for frequencies in the 2100MHz band held by Latvijas Mobilais Telefons (LMT).
The regulator has pushed back the expiry of the cellco’s concession for an unpaired 5MHz block at 1915MHz-1920MHz from 1 January 2018 to 28 June 2020. LMT’s licence for a paired 2×20MHz block at 1920MHz-1940MHz/2110MHz-2130MHz, meanwhile, was extended to 31 December 2027, from 1 January 2018.
