Thai telco True Corp revealed on Tuesday its new Business and Network Intelligence Center (BNIC), which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to boost network reliability for True’s mobile and fixed broadband network services.
The BNIC proactively inspects network infrastructure and manages network operations for all services by analysing big data using AI and machine learning algorithms to automate key network functions.
True said the BNIC continuously monitors network usage, including data transmission, bandwidth utilization, system integrity, and device connections, providing instant alerts in case of incidents or disasters affecting services. It also provides real-time and in-depth performance reports for internal network sections, network enhancement, immediate incident resolution and optimisation of OTT platforms.
A key BNIC feature highlighted by True is anomaly detection, in which AI and ML analyse real-time usage data across Thailand to detect abnormalities in usage patterns. Once an abnormality is detected, the system immediately sends alerts and proposes solutions for fast problem resolution.
True Corp CTO Prathet Tankuranun, said the BNIC serves to ensuring comprehensive network quality and the subsequent customer experience for its 5G, 4G, and home internet networks.
“Designed as a responsive customer and network management center, BNIC is crucial for ensuring the highest-quality service to over 50 million customers nationwide, including corporate customers, and nearly 4 million TrueOnline fibre internet network users,” he said in a statement.
