Leading cybersecurity experts and thought leaders from information security, technology and the ICT sectors will discussing key industry issues at a seminar being organised by NGN, a leading IT Systems Integrations and Managed Cyber Security Company, in Bahrain.
The event, being held under the theme "Cybersecurity in the Era of AI" will kick off on February 13 at NGN's headquarters.
It will explore a wide range of topics including the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on corporate cybersecurity strategies, the application of AI in detecting and combating cyberattacks, the role of AI in improving responses to cyber incidents, and the legal and ethical challenges associated with AI in cybersecurity, said NGN in a statement.
The decision to organize this event stems from the growing challenges posed by the widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence across sectors monitored by NGN, and in line with the company's ongoing effort to raise awareness about cybersecurity, it stated.
The event aims to empower cybersecurity companies with smart solutions to enhance their security measures and identify potential gaps in their systems and applications, said a top official.
"NGN is organizing this seminar as a proactive measure to bolster the preparedness of Bahraini companies in tackling threats arising from the pervasive influence of artificial intelligence. The aim is to elevate their cyber resilience in response to the escalating use and incorporation of AI applications across diverse industries," remarked its CEO Yaqoob Al Awadhi.
"This initiative reflects NGN's commitment to social responsibility by educating companies and furnishing them with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory hurdles stemming from the integration of artificial intelligence across sectors," stated Al Awadhi.
The seminar will be moderated by Alaa Albahrani, Senior Manager of Information and Cyber Security at AUB.
Joining him as panelists are Aysha Jamsheer, Unit Head of Information Security GRC at BBK, Mohamed Sanad, Senior Manager of Information Technology at SNIC, and Ammar Jameel, an expert in Information & Cyber Security and Sustainability at Bahrain Credit.
The seminar will shed light on the anticipated opportunities and challenges at the intersection of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in the future, he added.
