Telecom enabled new “full” 5G sites on the Personal mobile network in Mar del Plata, Pinamar and Cariló

Staff turned on the first 7 antennas of its 5G network in the seaside resorts of Mar del Plata, Pinamar and Cariló using the spectrum recently tendered through public award. In addition, in these locations they already had 10 5G sites with 5g DSS technology.

The antennas with the new spectrum are located 3 in Mar del Plata (pedestrian Av. San Martín and Entre Ríos, Playa Serena and by AV. Peralta Ramos and Gascón); 2 antennas in Pinamar (in the central area of the city); and 2 antennas in Cariló (corresponding to the downtown and beach area).

In this way, the company continues to promote the evolution of the industry to offer Argentines the latest technology in mobile connectivity and all those who are on vacation in these cities and who have compatible devices and are close to the first enabled sites, can experience the differential advantages of the fifth generation of mobile technology with a significant increase in speed and a reduction in latency. Furthermore, in this initial phase, customers will not need to purchase a specific plan, as they will be able to enjoy the 5G experience using their current plan.

Staff put the first 68 5G antennas into operation using the spectrum recently tendered through public award, in different cities of the country. In addition, it already has 311 5g DSS sites throughout the country that will be adapted to the new spectrum available for a full, state-of-the-art experience.

The 5G network will offer great opportunities for the development of the Internet of Things (IOT) thanks to its main characteristics: high response speed (100 times faster than browsing on the 4G network), low latency and multiple devices connected at the same time. .
Just as 4G technology transformed the world of mobile data, the 5G standard will go even further, allowing speeds of 10Gbps, greater capacity of connected devices, coverage and features than the current LTE-4G/4.5G. Smart cities, internet of things, connected homes and cars, home automation and artificial intelligence are some of the innovations that 5G technology will allow to expand in the coming years.
