4G service begins in Humla district on Nepal

The 4G service under Nepal's telecommunications system has commenced operations in Tanjkot rural municipality, situated in the southern region of the Humla district.

The area had long been plagued by communication issues due to the lack of reliable telephone and internet services.

The local residents are delighted with the initiation of 4G services. Lal Kesh Jaisi, the chairperson of the rural municipality, expressed optimism that this modern technology would streamline the daily administrative tasks at the local level and have a positive impact on public service delivery.

Jaisi stated, "Service seekers faced numerous challenges due to the absence of internet. The introduction of 4G services will not only enhance communication but also benefit education, health, social services, entertainment, and the exchange of ideas."

Furthermore, Jaisi believes that the Tanjkot residents will now be able to connect with their relatives globally, and online services will be accessible in offices under the new scheme.

Previously, people were compelled to communicate with their relatives via phone, and even that was limited to sunny days. Rajendra Syangku, the officiating administrative officer at the rural municipality, also expressed hope that the new facility would bring convenience to everyone.
