The AVOD and FAST Channel provider wedotv is now also offering its FAST channels wedo movies, wedo sports and wedo big stories on simpliTV in Austria.
The distribution is based on a long-term partnership between wedotv and simpliTV operator ORS. The three free, ad-financed streaming channels expand the line-up of the hybrid platform, which combines DTT (DVB-T2) and satellite (Astra) with an OTT service.
“We are delighted about the distribution on simpliTV, which will enable wedo movies, wedo sports and wedo big stories to reach new viewer groups and significantly expand their market presence in Austria. We are in discussion with other platform operators about adding the channels,” said Philipp Rotermund, CEO and Founder of wedotv.
To kick off the expanded distribution in German-speaking countries, wedo sports is showing the international sailing championship SailGP with German-language commentary for the first time. Sailing veterans Tobias Schadewaldt and Thomas Plößel will provide exclusive live commentary for wedotv on the races from Dubai on December 9 and 10, 2023.
