Team Telecom Armenia has extended the reach of its 25G-PON new generation network (NGN) to cover some 21,000 premises in all major towns in the southern province of Syunik.
In a press release the company noted that in ‘prioritising community development’, it began modernising infrastructure and building networks, including NGNs, in the regions first. It noted that the NGN, which has a capacity of up to 25Gbps, is now accessible in Syunik’s administrative capital, Kapan, as well as in Sisian, Goris, Kajaran, Meghri and Agarak. Further, coverage also extends to smaller towns such as Alaverdi, Artik, Armavir, Artashat, Berd, Byureghavan, Gavar, Yeghvard, Jean, Hrazdan, Chambarak, Metamora, Jermuk, Sevan, Spitak and Vardenis districts. The expansion builds on Team Telecom Armenia’s existing 25G-PON NGN coverage in Yerevan (including Davtashen, Arabkir, Avan and Zeytun administrative districts).
