MASMOVIL Group, Innovasur and OPUS RSE have presented to the Councilor of the Presidency of the Government of Andalusia, Antonio Sanz Cabello, and the mayor of Granada, Doña Marifrán Carazo, the project for the intelligent orchestration of 5G Services for the Cities of the 21st century , called CityBrain.
The consortium of companies presented the project, financed by NextGeneration funds from the European Union, through the UNICO Sectorial 5G program, managed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. CityBrain is presented as a comprehensive solution for cities implementing a revolution in the intelligent management of Granada, through four fundamental pillars:
1. Design an autonomous system based on Artificial Intelligence that allows learning, predicting, deciding and reacting intelligently, especially in terms of high pollution, high congestion and tourist flows of people.
2. Innovate in the dynamic orchestration of distributed computing resources IoT, MEC and Cloud (based on intelligent reactions) integrated with 5G+ technologies, for the development of intelligent city services.
3. Collect, process and govern using AI techniques, the high amount of data extracted from the network of multiple sensors, providing low latency communication, required by real-time applications.
4. Integrate and deploy the system on a real 5G infrastructure and execute and evaluate the proposed use cases.
The use cases of this project include:
- Real-time analysis of the emissions of each vehicle.
- The establishment of an automatic urban inventory using artificial vision.
- The detection and classification of vehicles, also considering their real pollution levels.
- Detection of parking space occupancy.
