Uzbek mobile operator Ucell has announced that its commercial rollout of voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) and video-over-LTE (ViLTE) has been competed across its entire national 4G LTE network.
The company’s release on its website said that VoLTE/ViLTE services are now available to all its subscribers with compatible phones, free of additional charges, and can be activated via the Ucell customer mobile app. Ucell highlights that VoLTE provides clearer quality voice calls and can be used in parallel with 4G high speed mobile internet, whilst also reducing call connection time to between 1.5 seconds and two seconds, with ViLTE technology enabling video calls between LTE network users without requiring other mobile applications.
The announcement from Ucell follows closely behind rival Beeline Uzbekistan reaching a national VoLTE/ViLTE footprint earlier this month.
