Slovak Telekom has completed the switch-off of its 3G network after turning off the signal in the final 39 districts in the early hours of 23 November. The network closure process had begun on 3 October, with the freed 2100MHz spectrum being used to support 4G and 5G services.
TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database notes that Telekom competes in Slovakia’s mobile market with larger rival Orange and smaller operators O2 and SWAN (4ka).
