Bangladeshi cellco Robi Axiata has confirmed that it is now using the 2600MHz spectrum that it successfully bid on in March 2022. A press statement issued to the local media notes that the spectrum has been deployed at ‘50% of the sites that were dealing with high levels of data traffic’, while Robi notes that further 2600MHz deployments are on the cards.
According to TeleGeography’s GlobalComms Database, Robi Axiata is in possession of a 1×60MHz block of spectrum in the 2550MHz-2610MHz band. In total, the mobile operator operates more than 15,000 LTE cell sites across the country.
