Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has shared data and statistics for the second quarter of 2023, covering fixed and mobile phones, as well as fixed and mobile broadband.
Oman’s total mobile phone subscriptions at the end of the second quarter of 2023 exceeded 7mn, an increase of 2.61% compared to the same period of 2022, with average usage of 87.6 minutes per subscription.
The total fixed phone subscriptions were over 560,000, an increase of 0.15% compared to the same period of 2022, with average usage of 23.5 minutes per subscription.
Total subscriptions of mobile broadband touched the 6mn mark in the first six months of 2023, up 4.78% compared to the same period of 2022. Average usage per subscription was of 9GB.
Total subscriptions of fixed broadband exceeded 540,000, an increase of 0.18%, with average usage of 531GB per subscription.
Oman’s total international outgoing minutes in the first half of 2023 was 188.8mn minutes, up 8.38% compared to 2022.
