Sweden’s Post and Telecom Agency (Post & Telestyrelsen, PTS) received 89 applications for funding as part of its 2023 rural broadband support scheme.
The applications requested support totalling SEK3.38 billion (USD304 million) and covered 671 separate projects. The watchdog says it has around SEK1.2 billion to allocate so it is now reviewing the applications, with an announcement of the successful bidders to follow in the next few months.
