Orange Mayotte has announced plans to modernise its 4G network by replacing existing mobile antennas with the latest generation and deploying 4G services in the 700MHz band. The operator will commence works in three regions, namely: Ouangani, Boueni and Dembeni.
As previously reported by TeleGeography’s CommsUpdate in March 2022 Orange received 700MHz frequencies alongside three rivals SFR Mayotte, Telco OI Mayotte and Maore Mobile, as part of a wider spectrum award process implemented by the Authority of Regulation for Electronic Communications and Posts (Autorite de Regulation des Communications Electroniques et des Postes, Arcep) in the French overseas territories of Reunion and Mayotte.
