Fibrus, a pure fiber provider focused on rolling out infrastructure in Northern Ireland and the north of England, has revealed its network now passes 300,000 premises, up from 250,000 in March 2022. According to ISPreview, meanwhile, at present of the premises covered by Fibrus’ infrastructure 273,000 are currently considered to be Ready for Service (RFS). Meanwhile, Fibrus is also reported to have confirmed that it is now serving around 50,000 subscriptions, up from 36,000 in March 2023.
Fibrus is reportedly aiming to pass one million premises over the next three years, of which 450,000 will be in Northern Ireland with the remainder in England and Scotland, while in terms of a more immediate goal, it is said to be targeting 400,000 premises covered across its areas of operation by March 2024.
To achieve its coverage targets, Fibrus is reported to have received an additional GBP35 million (USD44 million) tranche of equity funding from shareholder Infracapital, bringing the latter’s total investment in Fibrus to GBP150 million.
