RajaFiber set to launch FTTH in seven provinces from September

A new player is set to dip its toe in the Indonesian fixed broadband market when RajaFiber launches fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services in no fewer than seven provinces and 54 districts/municipalities, from next month. Claiming to offer 100% fibre-optic services and transparent pricing, the seven provinces are DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java (Bogor and Bekasi), Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java and Bali.

From launch, RajaFiber is offering three tariff plans – ‘lite’, ‘style’ and ‘prime’. In the lite service, customers will get a peak 30Mbps connection for IDR243,090 (USD15.9) per month. The style plan takes the speed up to 50Mbps and costs IDR287,490, while the premium plan, prime, promises potential promptitude – at least in the downlink – of up to 100Mbps for IDR365,190 per month. All plans include unlimited data.

‘We want to provide a smarter internet experience,’ said Chief Market Officer Reddy Christianto when launching RajaFiber in Jakarta, adding: ‘With the investment case we received from Midgo, we will roll out our own network of 50,000 homes passed in the near future’. Given the company also claims its footprint covers some 800,000 mobile users, Reddy said bundled services are likely to appear in the near future too.
