Datamount plots third data centre in Oman

Omani data centre provider Datamount announced plans to launch a data centre in the Muscat Governorate.

The Oman Daily Observer reported, that it will be called the Al Bandar Centre and will be Datamount’s third facility after its centres in Muscar and mountain range Al Jabal al Akhdhar.

The Albandar Centre will be completed in three phases and will house 700 racks designed according to the specifications and standards required to meet the requirements of the level (Uptime Tier III) and (TIA 942 Rated 3).

Cooling solutions provider Tabreed Oman will connect the centre with electricity and chilled water lines.

Datamount CEO Abdulmonem al Futaisi said: “Datamount has well-trained human and scientific expertise to manage this project at the highest professional level, enabling our customers to achieve integration in digital solutions, simplify their business operations, and protect them at competitive prices from any potential dangers that may arise from cyber threats.”
