UPC Broadband Slovakia has rebranded its TV app Horizon GO UPC TV and improved several of its features.
These include the introduction of higher data rates – from 3 Mbps for SD to 7 Mbps for HD channels – allowing for better reception of data intensive programmes such as sports broadcasts.
Commenting on the development, Martin Miller, DG of UPC Broadband Slovakia, said: “The previous Horizon GO application was designed for small devices, such as a mobile or tablet, but the Horizon TV application is for larger devices (Android TV, Apple TV). One of the goals of this change is to unify the name of the application for all platforms and at the same time strengthen the brand connection UPC with its TV application. The new UPC TV application brings a whole range of improvements that, with a new design, offer a perfect viewing experience, both at home and on the go throughout Slovakia, but also in all countries of the European Union”.
