State-operated telecom operator Ntc has launched its 3G mobile service in Rayadanda in the Baglung district. The newly established BTS tower has made it feasible for people to benefit from high-speed data on mobile devices and voice service.
The launch of the 3G mobile service has also ended the long suffrage of people for not having mobile communication services. Before, the locals had to walk up the nearby hills to get any mobile signals from far-away base stations. Unfortunately, the singles would be inconsistent and poor resulting in frequent disconnections in calls. The poor signals also compromised mobile internet service too.
However, after Nepal Telecom started its mobile service in Rayadanda Municipality, Balgung Ward no. 11, the local shave got high-quality mobile services in their locality. The telco recently brought its cell tower into operation to start the third-generation mobile network in the area.
Ntc office in charge of Baglung, Keshav Sharma said that with 3G launching in Rayadanda, people have received quality voice and data services. He shared that previously, people suffered in the absence of mobile service in the area.
Dependency on mobile signals from the neighboring ward didn’t help. It was difficult to use mobile services at homes and offices, but now, life has become easier with data and voice service availability.
The launch of the 3G service has benefitted 300 households in Rayadanda, Baglung. The tower covers Rayadanda, Bhedikhor, Balaute, Ramtola, and other nearby areas. The locals had long asked the telco to bring its mobile service to the area. The company has finally addressed the demand.
At the moment, Ntc has provided mobile service with a 3G tower. In the near future, the operator plans to upgrade to 4G. In Nepal, it’s the most advanced and popular network as it brings both high-speed broadband and voice service to mobile devices.
The fourth-generation (4G) network has already reached 98% of local levels across Nepal. In recent years, the company has prioritized telecom service expansion over profits.
