The Russian operator MTS ended the first quarter with 7.2 million OTT media subscribers.
This, according to the company, was 52.1% more than in the same period last year. Meanwhile, MTS’s pay-TV subscriber total (satellite, cable, IPTV and OTT) increased by 28.7% over the same period to 11.6 million.
MTS had revenues of R139.6 billion (€1.6 billion) in Q1, up 5.8% on a year earlier. Its adjusted OIBDA was R57.7 billion (+2.4%) and profit R12.7 billion (+229.3%).
Broadband TV News notes that MTS is Russia’s leading mobile operator, with around 80 million subscribers.
